A Pilot, Prospective, Population-based, Randomized, Double-Blind Study on Integration of Artificial Intelligence for Breast Cancer Screening in Ireland
This study investigates whether artificial intelligence (AI) can be integrated into Ireland’s national BreastCheck programme by comparing AI + Radiologist double reading with the current gold standard of double reading by two Radiologists. The study evaluates cancer detection rates, false positives, and workflow efficiency to determine if AI can maintain diagnostic performance while reducing radiologist workload.
