Attempt to quantify the gap in the mandibular condyle and glenoid fossa

CBCT-based 3D color mapping enables quantitative assessment of condyle–fossa relationships for improved diagnosis and surgical planning in temporomandibular joint disorders.

The Relationship Between Monocyte Distribution Width (MDW) and Blood Culture Result in Adult Patients Admitted for Sepsis in the Emergency Department of a Tertiary Hospital

A hospital-based analytical study investigating the association between monocyte distribution width (MDW) and blood culture positivity among adult patients admitted for sepsis in the emergency department of a tertiary hospital. The study aims to determine baseline MDW distribution, assess its relationship with blood culture results, and evaluate the likelihood of culture positivity across stratified MDW levels (low, moderate, high). It explores the potential of MDW as a cost-effective, automated hematologic biomarker for early sepsis detection and risk stratification in the local clinical setting.

A Prospective Analysis Comparing Serous Fluid Samples Processed Using Liquid-Based Cytology Versus Conventional Cell Block and Smear Classified by the International System for Reporting Serous Fluid Cytopathology in a Philippine Public Tertiary Hospital

A prospective study conducted in a Philippine public tertiary hospital comparing liquid-based cytology (LBC) with conventional cell block and smear techniques for serous fluid evaluation. Samples were classified using the International System for Reporting Serous Fluid Cytopathology (ISRSFC), with analysis of diagnostic categories and rates of malignancy. The study aims to assess diagnostic performance, improve reporting consistency, and establish institutional baseline risk-of-malignancy data.

A Pilot, Prospective, Population-based, Randomized, Double-Blind Study on Integration of Artificial Intelligence for Breast Cancer Screening in Ireland

This study investigates whether artificial intelligence (AI) can be integrated into Ireland’s national BreastCheck programme by comparing AI + Radiologist double reading with the current gold standard of double reading by two Radiologists. The study evaluates cancer detection rates, false positives, and workflow efficiency to determine if AI can maintain diagnostic performance while reducing radiologist workload.

Early Predictors of Surgical Intervention in Antenatally Detected Hydronephrosis: A Prospective Cohort from a Tertiary Pediatric Centreohn

This prospective cohort study evaluates early postnatal predictors of surgical intervention in 212 neonates with antenatally detected hydronephrosis (ANH) at a tertiary pediatrics center in India. This research provides a data-driven framework to guide individualized follow-up and optimize surgical timing, reducing unnecessary imaging and improving patient outcomes.
